Work by ISU College of Design students, faculty and alumni accepted into Octagon's national juried exhibition

AMES, Iowa — Eighteen students, faculty members and alumni of the Iowa State University College of Design have had work accepted into the "47th Clay, Fiber, Paper, Glass, Metal, Wood" national juried exhibition, Jan. 23 through April 4 at the Octagon Center for the Arts in Ames.
An opening reception, including presentation of awards, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in the Octagon's Main Gallery. The show was juried by Paulina Verbeek-Cowart, professor and chair of the fiber department at the Kansas City Art Institute.

The exhibition will feature 65 artworks selected from a pool of 323 entries by artists from across the United States. Media represented include drawing, painting, printmaking, digital and traditional photography, mixed media, glass, ceramic, textile and wood.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday (closed Sunday). Admission is free.
