I am Eunice Amissah-Mensah. I was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. I come from both Kwahu-Pepease in the Eastern Region (my mother’s hometown) and Amanful in Cape Coast, Ghana (my father’s hometown). I completed my bachelor’s degree in Human Settlement Planning at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. I was a Teaching Assistant for my undergraduate department for a year. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning with a certification in GIS and am a Teaching Assistant with the department. I want to be an astute urban planner working with governmental and non-governmental organizations. With this, a big chunk of my focus will be on housing and environmental sustainability. My study here in the United States of America provides me with a good exposure on effective international systems of development and an opportunity to meet diverse groups of people.
