Open Doors to Interior Design
Interior design senior Albert Li won first place with his entry in the 2015 Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) Video Competition, juried by members of IDEC, the American Society of Interior Designers, Council for interior Design Accreditation, Council for Interior Design Qualification and International Interior Design Association.
In response to the call for compelling entries that would engage middle and high school students to learn and think differently about interior design, Li’s video, “Open Doors to Interior Design,” aims to help people understand more about the study and profession of interior design and the opportunities available to interior designers. He developed the project in associate professor Jihyun Song’s ARTID 552 Design Methods course this semester. Li will receive a $1,750 prize.
