Nationally Ranked Top 15 Program

Iowa State’s undergraduate interior design program is ranked 15th nationally for 2019-2020 among accredited undergraduate interior design programs in the US, according to the latest survey by DesignIntelligence.

DesignIntelligence is a quarterly publication for leaders in the design professions. The journal’s annual report, “America’s Top Ranked Architecture and Design Schools,” is the only national college ranking survey that focuses exclusively on design. Rankings cover accredited programs in architecture, interior design/interior architecture and landscape architecture.

In the “Most Hired From” category this year, the ISU interior design program ranked 7th. These rankings group programs by size (average annual number of graduates in both undergraduate and graduate programs) and are highly competitive.
