IDSA

The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA)’s Chapter at ISU is a
student organization that aims to promote the education and practice of industrial designers. At a university level, we plan to host different workshops and bring in guest speakers to promote the major, increase your skills, and provide networking opportunities. A secondary goal is to create a community within all levels of our program and an opportunity to work with other creative majors. We also hold various fundraising events throughout the semester to help supplement our fun events! Please consider joining IDSA to help yourself grow as a designer and strengthen your network.

Who should join?
Any Industrial Designers hoping to connect with other INDD students and professionals! Anyone who wants to learn more about what it’s like to be an Industrial Designer in “the real world” and how to best prepare themselves.

How does joining enhance the experience of a student during their time at Iowa State?
Being a member of IDSA allows you to further enrich your Industrial Design knowledge by providing you unique opportunities, connections, and other beneficial material. We hope to help you develop more confidence as a designer and a more well-rounded skill set.

Meetings
IDSA meets every other Thursday from 5:30–6:30 p.m. in the Student Innovation Center room 4120
