College of Design Learning Outcomes
Upon graduation, undergraduate students with a degree from the College of Design will:
- communicate effectively using oral, written, and visual formats
- be critical thinkers and creative problem solvers
- collaborate as active members of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams
- connect and work across disciplines in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and design to challenge convention
- understand how humans interact with and respond to environments, spaces, places, and experiences
- show awareness and sensitivity to design ethics, equity, and social justice
- demonstrate knowledge in a particular design-related area of study using appropriate processes, theories, tools, and skill sets
- engage with local, national, and global communities
- be knowledgeable of issues affecting global society in their cultural, historical, political, and geographical contexts
- reflect on the social and environmental implications of their work and their future
