Your investment in the College of Design helps us prepare tomorrow’s leaders in the design professions. Gifts provide scholarship support to students, help expand the expertise of our faculty and strengthen our academic programs. Philanthropic support furthers the college’s reputation for design excellence and extends the reach of our unique culture, one that combines the visual arts with the planning and construction of structures, communities and environments.

Gifts to the College of Design are made through the Iowa State University Foundation, a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to securing and stewarding contributions that support Iowa State University. The ISU Foundation provides a variety of giving options and programs, and works in partnership with the college to engage the interests of potential supporters.

At the center of this partnership is our senior director of development, Kim McDonough. She provides leadership in fundraising and travels within Iowa, the Midwest and around the US to reconnect alumni and friends to the people and programs that shaped their experiences as students and designers.

The Forever True Campaign

The Forever True, For Iowa State campaign – an ambitious initiative to raise $1.5 billion by June 30, 2021 – will help achieve the university’s vision to lead the world in advancing the land-grant ideals of putting science, technology and human creativity to work.
