Robotics Lab
We have recently had the pleasure of opening our Architectural Robotics Lab inside the Iowa State Student Innovation Center. The lab provides students with an incredible resource for doing cutting-edge design work using the latest in fabrication technologies and processes.
The Architectural Robotics Lab (ARL) explores the emergent field of research, design, and construction utilizing robotic technology. The ARL is an outpost of the ISU Computation & Construction Lab (CCL) an initiative of the ISU Department of Architecture that works to connect developments in computation to the challenges of construction through teaching, research, publication, and exhibition. A primary tenet of this work is the democratization of access to and knowledge about technology in architecture, specifically creating opportunities for our students to learn and create with technology.
